Dry Fix: Dry Verge & Dry Ridge
We carry out verge and ridge repairs and upgrade to the new dry roofing products. The new dry roofing systems are more beneficial to the home/property than the older mortar based fixings.
New improvements in the roofing products have made a vast difference to the way the roof verges and ridges are maintained. New builds generally have the new dry roofing products installed and older properties can be converted.
Dry roofing systems are much more durable, secure, and maintenance free.
With dry ridge, the ridge tiles are mechanically fixed which makes them more secure and weatherproof.
Dry verge helps prevent birds etc. from accessing the roof space which may cause other problems in the loft space.
Dry roofing systems also allow for the natural movement of the property, which mortar fixtures does not.
There are choices of colour, from the traditional white to shades of brown, black and grey.

Fascia boards - are the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof.
The fascia is fixed directly to the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the bottom row of tiles and carrying all the guttering.
Soffits - are tucked unter the fascia boards and can generally be seen from looking up from the ground. Most, but not all properties have soffits.
Fascias and Soffits are normally upgraded at the same time. Gutters are also normally upgraded with them.
Ventilated soffits allow the air to circulate which helps prevent condensation in the roofline/loft. Alternatively, ventilation can be provided over the top of the fascia board.

We carry out all chimney services, re-pointing, re-bedding chimney pots, making sure the cowls are secure and chimney reductions.
The safety and security of your roof are a top priority. Chimney's are at the hightest point of a roof and the changeable weather takes its toll on the roof and the chimney.
The masonry in between the brick work on the chimney stacks are prone to weather erosion. The mortar will crack and crumble allowing water ingress. This causes the bricks to become unstable and if left can lead to the chimney becoming unstable. No one wants a chimney to fall, the consequences can be major damage to the roof and anything or anyone that is below it.
Re-pointing is usually all that is necessary to secure the chimney. The process of re-pointing is to clean the old crumbling mortar and renew with new mortar to stabilise the bricks.
A small re-pointing job undertaken today can prevent a much larger expensive one, if neglected.

We carry out all roof repairs, replacing damaged, loose or missing tiles. However, it the roof has many damaged tiles and repairs may not be cost effective to keep replacing then a new roof or re-roof may be needed.
Replace the old roof membrane for a new breathable membrane.Old wooden slats/battens can be replaced with new treated wooden battens. There are choices on the type and colour of tiles to replace the existing roof tiles.
Slate roof repair, replacement and upgrade roofs still incorporating the use of natural slate tiles. Slate tiles are renown for their durability and longetivity, which sets it apart from some other types of slate.
